NIGHT PATROL 2021 (Halloween edition)
The 3rd edition of our already legendary night-ride.
This year we will start a 6pm at Manuvèl’s new location in Temse!
The ride will be a bit shorter this year at about 80k, but will be exiting as ever, expect a all-road ride with mix of quite roads, farmroads and the occasional single-track.
One more thing, it’s Halloween boys & girls so we expect you to do your best and make this a crazy and colorful event. Best costumes get some prizes from Manuvèl and Ritchey Logic.
So what do you get for your 25 euros, a coffee at the start, pumpkin soup with bread and a beer at the end of the ride, our custom Night Patrol iron-on patch and a package of energy chews from Chimpanzee Nutrition.
See you there for a crazy, scary night out!
DIRTY BLESSINGS 2021
This year we go for a slightly different take on our Dirty Blessings season opener. Because of Covid-19, we obviously can't do the real thing so we go for a surrogate to ease the pain.
On the weekend of 6 and 7 March you will be able to ride a 75% different Dirty Blessings course than last year's one. You can choose to ride a 130km track or a 100km track that will take you into the Dutch province of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.
We will provide you with a track, an exclusive (and hopefully blessed) Dirty Blessings sew-on patch, a coffee or a drink at Manuvèl Cycling Bar and some goodies from our partners.
We have 49 tickets for Saturday and Sunday, you start in a group of max 4 people at Manuvèl (the bar is still open for take-away), where you pick up your goodies and can have a coffee before or after the ride. You can start between 8.30 and 11 am at Manuvèl for a nice day out in Flanders fields (and forests) and you follow the current Covid-19 rules and guidelines.
NIGHT PATROL
We’re back with a brand new edition of our Night Patrol ride. For 2020 we decided to create a 100% different course leaving from a brand new cycling bar in Antwerp, Pavé. This year’s edition will be an all-road ride that will include everything from quite country roads, urban (-trail) sections, single-tracks and gravel roads. There will be a 75k novice course and an expert 100k. This is a night-ride so make sure you have lights, charged batteries and some reflective clothing.
For the buck you will get a pre-ride drink and post ride food and drink. You will also receive an exclusieve Wildhood Summer 2020 patch and a Komoot region bundle.
There will be a Ritchey Logic raffle too.
Don’t worry we will make this event 100% corona proof. We do max out on 45 riders though because of the current health crisis.
WILDHOOD CYCLING CLUB SUMMER SOCIAL: REDU
Because of the ongoing Corona/Covid-19 crisis we decided to create a small series of 3 one-day adventures this summer in Luxemburg, Belgium’s most Southern province. We’re pretty confident we will be able to pull this off as the situation is developing in a positive way.
The Southern Part of Belgium is well known for its beautiful valleys, dense forests, steep climbing and rough stuff. In this area there are hardly any smooth gravel roads like we tend to find in the High Fens or in the Eifel. The rides will be a bit more bumpy, technical and with the occasional hike a bike but that will all be more than compensated by the gorgeous experience you will have during the day. The rides are aimed at dropbar bicycles but plus-bikes or mountainbikes would be a good pick too. We’ll leave it up to you what and how you want to ride. Bring your own food and drinks for a full day of riding. The average distance covered will be around 90k and you’ll have to do an average of 1500m of climbing on each ride. We will do a group start and finish the day with some well deserved drinks if we’re allowed to.
Each participant will receive an exclusive sew-on patch especially made for this series and as a remembrance of this “black” summer …
Of course we all care about everybody’s health so the rides will be small-scale, we max out at 20 participants for each ride and we expect everybody to behave according current governmental health/safety measures.
Redu is probably the town with the most bookstores per inhabitant in Belgium and also well known for it’s ESA space control base. We’ll leave this little village behind and wander into the forest by following small rivers, rocky single-tracks, some hike a bike and abandoned railways. On a hot summer day you will have plenty of occasions for a swim in one rivers during the ride. As adventurers we strongly recommend you to do that.
This is a roughstuff ride, bigger tires will give you more comfort. Hiking your bike on some sections might be possible.
Total Distance: 93km - Positive Denivilation: 1500m
Membership included in ticket price.

St-Hubert is named after, gues who, St.-Hubert, the patron saint of huntsmen and also called the apostle of the Ardennes. His body is buried in the abbey close to our starting point. With all the hunting activity going on there, it is needless to say that there are some great forests surrounding this town that need some exploration in the off-season with the guns & the huntsmen locked inside their homes. Our map tells us that we might just run into a huge abandoned NATO airfield too.
This is a roughstuff ride, bigger tires will give you more comfort. Hiking your bike on some sections might be possible.
Total Distance: 99km - Positive Denivilation: 1900m

Bouillon is probably one of the most beautiful towns in Belgium with the classic castle on top of the hill and a meandering river running through it. The place also has a rich and infamous history with the first ever crusade starting out of this town. We’ll meet in front of the castle and ride out of the city for a day of breathtaking views of the Semois valley, long climbs, winding descends and beautiful forest roads.
